How to change your mind(set)
I was reading Adam Grant’s Think Again recently and in it he says…
‘Psychologists have long found that the person most likely to persuade you to change your mind is you. You get to pick the reasons you find most compelling, and you come away with a real sense of ownership over them.’
And when I think about changing one’s mind it’s not just in the case of an argument or debate - it’s mindset, beliefs, practices, and more ✌️
No one else can truly convince you to change, to leave the toxic work environment or relationship, to do the transformational work. You must persuade yourself, you must believe in yourself, you must decide it’s worth it and you’re worth it 😍 Otherwise, it will never stick.
This is where the Pause is so powerful.
It allows you to create space, invite in something new, see additional options, gain awareness, and to choose differently. It allows you to change your mind and your perspective and design your life 🤸🏻♀️
As a coach I am simply a guide, one who can share my experience, offer the support needed along the way, and provide space for the pause. But *you* will ultimately persuade yourself to embody the transformation, shifts, and change you desire ✨
