Reflect, Celebrate, and Reset

 

As we pass through the mid-point of the year it’s a wonderful time to create space and time to reflect, celebrate, and reset.

Whether you’re hitting summer in full swing and have kids out of school, vacations planned, and it seems like even more chaos than normal, or not much changes as we hit this mid-point, I invite you to take a Pause.

If you set an intention at the start of the year and/or did visioning and set forth your desires it’s a prime check in point. Whether things are smooth sailing or it feels like the train’s off the track taking the time to slow down, check-in, celebrate, and possibly recalibrate its key.


This is permission to take a breath.


You don’t have the juggle all the plates in the air at once and you certainly don’t need to put on the ‘it’s all good’ attitude and face on the surface if you feel like you’re scrambling beneath and full of overwhelm.


Pause.


Let’s bring awareness to how things are going and take the opportunity to rest and reset.

Below are some reflection questions to help you take inventory and get curious about what can stay the same, what needs to change, and what you need for support.

I invite you to use these as a starting point and be gentle on yourself. It’s not an exercise in berating yourself for not meeting expectations if things don’t feel like they’re going in the direction you desired a few months ago. That’s why celebrations and acknowledging accomplishments of all sizes are key!

And if things are going extremely well, incredible, bravo, amazing! Use these to get curious about how it could be even better and how you can take what’s been working into the coming season.

As you dedicate time and energy to these prompts be open, gentle, and don’t feel like you have to do them all at once.

  • What’s enriching in your life right now?

  • Where do you feel expansive, lit up, and drawn forward?

  • What are you celebrating from the last few months? Try to list at least 10-15 big, small, all the things!

 
 

 
 
  • What are you inviting in for the season ahead?

  • How does this align with your intention and/or vision from the start of the year?

  • What do you need to feel supported in the coming months? Or supported with specific desires?

 
 

 
 
  • Where are you leaking energy, feeling drained, or distracted?

  • What has been challenging and hasn’t gone well for you?

    • Why do you think this is?

    • What would make it feel or move forward more smoothly?

    • Is this something you can shift, change directions with, get support, or even stop doing? 

  • What are you carrying that you’d like to let go of? (this can be anything from self talk, to projects that aren’t exciting, to old stuff taking up space)

    • What needs to be released?

    • What would it take to drop it or offload this in the season ahead?

 
 

 
 
  • What can you do to bring more satisfaction, delight, joy, and peace into everyday life?

    • How can you take one step towards that today, tomorrow, and in the week ahead?

  • What do nourishment and rejuvenation look like to you?

    • How often do allow yourself time to do these things?

    • How could you ensure prioritizing some of these practices every day?
