Finding Presence through mindfulness - whether it’s simply a few breaths, feeling your feet on the ground, or 20 minutes of meditation - brings you into the realm of awareness. The space of true knowing.
In the formula of living and setting your PACE, Awareness is the catalyst for all that follows.
Awareness is about becoming conscious. It offers up the space for acceptance and acknowledgement.
It’s only when you become aware that you can choose differently, change direction, respond in a new way, or consciously remain the same.
It’s my experience that we fear awareness the most - especially opening up our own physical, mental, and emotional awareness.
As long as we ignore and don’t acknowledge what’s going on, how we really feel, what we truly desire, we won’t fall off the tightrope we’ve trained ourselves to walk, no one will see our faults and carefully crafted facade.
This is the ‘everything is fine, let’s carry on’ response. That’s an awareness bypass.
Cultivating awareness digs deep. It can feel like opening (quite literally) Pandora’s Box. But it’s necessary and doesn’t have to be all at once.
It’s up to you, it’s your pace. It’s critical.
